Friendly greeting at reception and then A&E. See by triage nurse very quickly. Seen by nurse practitioner after no more than 15 mins. Problem diagnosed and explained in easily understood terms. Immediate drug treatment, future appointment with consultant, and eventual surgery, all fully explained together with leaflet on condition.
I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was seen and treated - the waiting areas were quite full. I was very impressed with the attitude of staff - briskly efficient but also friendly and sympathetic.
A very positive experience.

From past experience a few years ago, I expected to be sitting around waiting for hours on end to be assessed and treated. As it turned out this took place in under one hour and was the speediest NHS that I have encountered, Very efficient and the practitioner fully explained my condition and treatment two types of eye drops and I was on my way. Very impressed.

All the staff I saw in A&E were skilled, efficient and friendly. And it turned out not to be an emergency after all, thankfully.

Advice given was good and explained in an easily understandable way. Staff were also pleasant and helpful. However, the seating in the waiting area could do with an upgrade. Sitting for half an hour or so is ok but two hours plus is stretching comfort levels somewhat.
